Through Bridges to Opportunities, individuals gain the training necessary – at no cost to themselves – for careers in the construction field, whether on the Louisville-Southern Indiana Ohio River Bridges Project or on other construction projects in the years to come.
Three primary components of the program:
- Training on basic skills, such as interviewing skills and safety rules/regulations.
- Apprenticeships and work-skill programs in partnership with local unions.
- An educational career track for obtaining a degree in a related field. (Bridges to Opportunities funds up to two years of education toward a certificate or associate's degree.)
